Thursday, January 2nd, 2014

Rainy days have you feeling drab and grey?
Channel your inner biker babe and ride out the storm in a fashion forward motorcycle rain boot.

This fashion forward, motorcycle inspired silhouette is a welcome update to the traditional welly cut rain boot, affording fashionable women every where the opportunity to wear their favorite outfits without compromising effortless style and keeping feet warm and dry.

One of our favorite celebrity fashionistas, Jessica Alba, was spotted wearing the Seattle moto rain boot by Dav, available at DNA Footwear. Replicating the stylish star mom’s casual ensemble is as easy as throwing on a comfy shirt, a cozy cardigan and your favorite jeans. Jessica has personally paired her black pants and Dav Seattle moto rain boots with a Paige Denim Kadie shirt in Amour Plaid and an Isabel Marant for H&M Knit Cardigan.

Looking to sport the moto rain boot trend with a subtler edge and less metal hardware?  Check out the rugged Dav Moto Solid rain boot, boasting the same chic cut as the Seattle, minus the studded straps.

Sperry Top Sider carries a similar cut of rain boot, called the Falcon, available in Black and Olive. For those of you looking to take a walk on the wild side, the Sperry Top Sider Falcon is also available in a fun, animal print with studded buckle straps. All available colorways for the Falcon moto rain boot pictured, left.

Happy shopping, rainy day style mavens!

Street Style: Footwear Edition

street style

Since it’s Friday we figured we’d inspire you for your weekend wardrobe with a street style footwear edition roundup. Street Style photography blogs like Mr Newton, The Locals, Street Peeper, Face Hunter, Jak and Jil, Hanneli, and The Sartorialist have continuously inspired us to push footwear boundaries.

It’s easy to get lost among a crowd at Fashion Week but when you’re going about your day walking to and from the city only to be approached by a street style photographer, you’ve made it. Grabbing the eye of a photographer isn’t always easy but when you’re wearing eye popping shoes you’re sure to be snapped. Think bold, bright, and atypical with your footwear and you will see your face (or feet) among the street style elite.
