There are specific brands you go to when you want the best in particular products, clothing, shoes, etc. When it comes to nautical footwear the first and only brand that should come to mind is the iconic Sperry Top Sider. When you’re looking for trendy yet comfortable, ultimate traction providing, quality boat shoes, nothing tops the 77-yr old brand’s fashion legacy.
Authentic Original Boat Shoe – Though Sperry has introduced us to many variations of their classic boat shoe, there’s nothing like the original. This classic features genuine handsewn tru-moc construction in “oh-so-perfect for boating” seersucker nautical stripes. The 360° genuine raw hide laces are looped through rust proof eyelets for secure fit and long life. This original boat shoe also features Sperry’s signature traction and the shock absorbing EVA heel cup which provides added comfort for all day walking.
Nantucket Loafer – who says classic loafers can’t be chic. The Sperry Nantucket Loafer embodies the practical slip-on style but with a pretty and sleek update. Fans of classic loafer styles will love the traditional moc-styling and buckle detailing across the vamp. Special touches include contrast leather piping around the top, a smidgen of a heel for a touch of height and a luxe leather lining.
Southampton High Wedge Sling back – want the comfort of a wedge with the personality of a modern on-trend show, then these fun and flirty nautical wedges, featuring Sperry’s signature comfort should be at the top of your list. This great wedge gives you the look of a classic, chic sling back with modern and nautical features. You’ll love the cork wrap wedge, skip lace detail, and metallic leather upper, colorblocked with neutral tan.
Men’s Authentic Original Boat Shoe – style and comfort of a Sperry boat shoe in a sharp, stylish silhouette. A perfect match with chinos, the Men’s Authentic Original Boot features a handsewn Tru-Moc construction, and a non-marking rubber outsole. Like the women’s version, the men’s also features a 360° genuine raw hide laces that are looped through rust proof eyelets for secure fit and long life, Sperry’s signature traction and the shock absorbing EVA heel cup which provides added comfort.
Men’s Boat Oxford Saddle Shoe – sophisticated fun at its best with this clean and classic gentleman’s shoe with an urban touch. Featuring relaxed, worn leather and linen, the Sperry Boat Oxford Saddle Shoe brings to mind the sharp dressed men of the past that exuded refined style, professional appeal and a playful personality. Men who wear this shoe cherish style and luxurious comfort and show it with every step.

When you’re the oldest shoe company in the US, its not difficult to continuously draw in customers especially when you capture your audience with your brand’s exceptional attention to details. Frye features styles made with three different dyes, embellishments and treatments. This spring’s sandals feature a mix of old and new, modern touches added to classic silhouettes.
Corrina Stitch Wedge - featuring antique soft leather, tonal pickstitching on the hem, vamp and ankle straps (which also features stud details) to add an extra layer of texture, it’s not difficult to see why its called the Stitch Wedge. The minimalist details makes this stacked hardwood heel with leather trim a classic that will surpass seasons.
Kara Trapunto Sandal - styled perfectly for hot summer days and nights, this Latin roots, Bossa Nova-inspired T-Strap corked platform features the artisan Trapunto style of stitching – several parallel rows of stitching creating a design on the fabric. The raised leather piping and rivets add a bit of toughness to this chic sandal.
Alex High Wedge – double the comfort plus show your style when you rock this moccasin-wedge hybrid. The soft leather and stacked hardwood wedge heel gives this old classic a new modern edge.
Braylin Braided 2 Piece High Wedge Sandal – in the mood for a retro-chic style, this braided sandal features another hot trend in footwear for spring 2012 – unique braiding patterns like the flat braided detail featured in this modern wedge

It’s brands like these that make my job excruciatingly painful. The gorgeous elegance of textured, pattern heavy combinations mixed throughout the Elizabeth and James collection makes a girl want what she can’t have. Fusing an uptown chic with downtown couture, colorful accents and masculine cuts, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen have yet again released double trouble for my pocket book.
Vintage x Retro x Modern, from shoes to accessories this collection turns the fashion conscious head spinning. Luxuriously modern in approach the twins have managed to capture classic elegance with contemporary cool. A bit pricey for the average consumer but each piece speaks loudly, so splurging every once in awhile with this brand will keep your closet up to date. Above are my SOME of my favorites and there is much more coming from the Spring collection. Included in DNA’s New Arrivals is a pair of the E-Clair Colorblock High Heel Sandal.

Gawking in awe at Spring prints, New Yorkers wonder when we’ll get the chance to brighten our wardrobe with botanical beauties. We won’t be able to live with ourselves come spring if we don’t find some way to incorporate florals into our wardrobe without looking like a 16-year old teenybopper with a propensity for Lisa Frank.
You have two options when it comes to florals: you can go the feminine route with flats or flatforms or you could add some edge to balance out the dainty dresses with combat boots. When it comes to accessorizing your florals play with prints but be careful because print on print can go terribly wrong (we don’t need you coming back crying to us because you made a fashion fail).

Apparently having a shoe collection is the new “IT” thing to do; it feels like every day we report that some celebrity or reality star wants an in with the fashion industry. One such celebrity is Halle Berry, who is quickly becoming a woman of all trades. The actress slash Revlon spokeswoman teamed up with popular German retailer Deichmann Shoes to create her own line: ’5th Avenue by Halle Berry’ collection.
Fitting for women her age (we mean that in the kindest way possible), the collection features fairly low heels and wedges, mixing comfort and style for the modern mom. Boasting 40 limited edition shoes, Berry is proud of the new baby in her life, her shoe line. In discussing her new endeavor she said,
“Shoes are a statement. They can be very sexy; they can say something about where you are in the day; they can say what your mood is; they give you a chance to accessorize. And I’m a girl that loves to change my shoes all the time. It’s an expression of who you are really. I’m a girl if I find a shoe that I really like I like to get them in all colours. I’m big on that.”
With the reasonable starting price of £29.99, budget savvy mothers are eagerly awaiting the UK launch in March.

The man can do no wrong — Karl Lagerfeld, the “king” of fashion, never fails to amaze us with his many styling and design talents (not to mention the 30 iPads he carries with him at all times). Lagerfeld’s diffusion line, Karl, launched January 25th and is sold exclusively online at Net-a-Porter.
Alike to his own personal style, the budget collection features black and white clothing and accessories retailing from $50 for a canvas tote to aprox. $1,000 for leather pieces. As to be expected, Karl’s trademark fingerless leather gloves make an appearance as do fabulous faux colors. Among the 70-piece collection are 8 pairs of shoes, from metallic sneakers to gladiator sandals, the footwear is simple yet impressive.
We can handle the trademark Karl profile on the tees and tanks, but what about the shoes?! Walking with the support of Lagerfeld on your soles would sure put a pep in our step (we’re just sayin…it’s suggestion for the next collection).
