2012′s Winter Boot Of Choice

Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012

duck boot

According to both The Cut and Refinery 29, the 2012 Winter Boot of Choice is the L.L. Bean duck boot. While it may not be our first choice for “Boot of the Year”, the century-old brand has recently tripled their sales of the boot. Originally intended for men, the drastic sale increase has spurred duck boots for women in both blue and pink (because apparently women only wear blue and pink).

The lightweight, durable, and affordable boots may seem…what’s the word…CHUNKY, but they are your best bet come snowfall. With the L.L. Bean duck boot’s surge in popularity and its upcoming 100th birthday, will you be jumping on the snow boot bandwagon?

Weekly Footwear News Roundup

footwear news

The DNA team would like to wish you a productive Friday and a footwear-filled weekend.

We scour Refinery29, Elle, InStyle, Nylon, Women’s Wear Daily, Fashionologie, and Fashionista daily to bring you the latest footwear industry news on our Twitter. Every Friday, it’s time to roundup these Tweets and compile them into a clean, concise list just for YOU!

The weekend is the perfect time to catch up on your Fall shopping and read up on this week’s footwear news. This week you’ve missed cord AND Jesse Jo Stark Vans, horrid Google sneakers, bruised, battered, & worn model’s feet, and the bloggers as designer’s trend. Did we mention that Barneys New York is launching an exclusive pair of Louboutins, which nobody has been lucky to steal a peak at yet (we can only fantasize about this future shoe-gasm)?!
