This season’s color scheme is staying cool with a variety of shades from menthol to spearmint. Everything including household appliances are getting a minty green makeover. The refreshing tone is great for a crisp pedicure or wear it with a pair of mint green pumps. Â No matter what aspect of attire you decide to frost, this color will have you feeling cool as a cucumber while Spring sunshine starts to melt away Winter wardrobe wonders.

On  Thursday Jan. 19, Mark Fast, J.W. Anderson, Preen and Libertine announced their collaborations with Selfridges for ALDO Rise collections. The London Fashion Week foursome were tapped  to put together their own ranges to sell in Selfridges’ Shoe Galleries in London with an exclusive pre-launch on Jan. 18th.
Purchasing the collection shows support ALDO Rise, ”a fashion week collaboration program, launched by ALDO to help increase awareness of upcoming designers and offer them support through their retail network and designer contacts”  (OK!). As shown above, Mark Fast’s collection was inspired by “tribal and metallic glam” , featuring cut-out details, and retailing at £125. If the other three collaborative collections are as “spring chic” as Fast’s we’re sure you’ll support ALDO Rise as avidly as we do.

“The biggest stars of film and television descended upon the Beverly Hilton on Jan. 15 for Hollywood’s “biggest party” and for the announcement of this year’s 69th annual Golden Globes” (Hollywood Reporter). Television and film icons dripping in jewels, gowns, and tuxes proudly walked the red carpet as cameras flashed and fans gawked in awe from their living rooms.
Like many formal award ceremonies, the floor-length gowns often hide our favorite part: the shoes. Those who showed us some leg, provided us a peek at their sky-high stilettos — black, tan, metallic, black, some more tan, then a hint of metallic. Unlike the MTV awards or the Grammys, most played it cool with sopistocated simple pumps, none adventuring outside of the neutral palette. All in all, a ho-hum year for shoes, leaving us hoping for more.

While Valentine’s Day may not be everyone’s favorite holiday, it doesn’t mean that you can’t dress your best — no matter if you’re single or taken. Join in on this Hallmark holiday in the red and black spirit (because pink is so cliche).
Do your best in February to show old Cupid that you’re not as anti-love as you thought you were. Maybe if you get your feet in the spirit, you won’t be as inclined to make a sour face every time a couple kisses on the street or makes goo-goo eyes at one another. Wearing one statement red or black piece is acceptable but steer clear of being matchy-matchy and looking like a walking candy kiss.

Not only does Kim Kardashian run the reality TV world, but also has her hand in on online shoe retailer ShoeDazzle. In honor of her love of shoes and the letter K, Kim decided to pay tribute to Kate Middleton. Why not? They both are tabloid icons, got married to famous men last year, and their names start with the letter K — it was only right.
Turning Middleton’s 30th birthday into a chance to exploit more money out of fans, Kim “designed” a shoe named ‘The Duchess’ in honor of Middleton, “because every woman should feel like a princess every day”. Available on ShoeDazzle for £39.95, the black quilted faux-leather high heel  features “classic quilting and [a] graceful silhouette channel[ing] the Duchess’s classic style.”
You can exaggerate it all you want Kim, but that shoe is still a plain black pump and is still NOT worth that price…no matter whose name you attach to it. Nice try though.

Thanks to Who What Wear for inspiring today’s “T-Strap Trend” post — inspiring us and our readers to add dainty details to our closet. A flashback to classic footwear, the 1920′s, and dancer’s heels.
Mind your manners ladies because the t-strap is all about being prim and proper. Celebrities and bloggers alike go from rocker chic to perfect princess just by adding a pair of t-strap stilettos to their wardrobes. Take a cue from Badgley Mischka, Pelle Moda, Ivanka Trump, and Sacha London, all of whom know a thing or two about timely footwear elegance.

Many mothers and health experts ask, “how young is too young to wear high heels?”, while others like Katie Holmes Cruise find it appropriate. In a day and age where children grow up too quickly, the great debate over kid’s high heels heats up. Women wear high heels for the form enhancing features but what reason do little girls have?
Holmes defends her decision saying, “like every little girl, she loves my high heels. They are actually ballroom dancing shoes for kids. I found them for her and she loves them”. Not only does she love them but they make great press for a celebrity family — by age 5 Suri is already a style icon.
Moderation is key in this debate, which Holmes understands by allowing her daughter to wear them “on special occasions”… for god sakes she’s not wearing them to the park!
You decide: Cute or Creepy?

We know your new year’s resolution is to slim down but face it, you’re 6 days into January and you’ve yet to hit the treadmill. With a little help from DNA and the ultimate nude pump, fool the eye into thinking you’re skinnier than ever.
Since we’re not all Victoria’s Secret models we have to elongate our legs using optical illusions. Choose skin tone or nude shoes to create the illusion of longer slimmer legs. High heels make the lower leg muscles tighten, giving them a noticeable elongating lift while the added height is also a plus.
These beige shoes are anything but ordinary, turning you into the model you always dreamed of being.
