For those who may not know, Hank Moody is the main character of the show Californication and is the smoothest ladies man currently on television.  So what’s Hanks story?
Occupation: Writer
Signature look: Black T Shirt and dark denim jeans paired with a sport jacket (Dressed Up) up or a leather jacket (Casual) and of course his signature sunglasses and Blundstone boots.
The Hank Moody look is easily achievable with the help of Blundstone, but whether or not it’ll improve your robot-like approach to women is whole other story.

Not only does Kim Kardashian run the reality TV world, but also has her hand in on online shoe retailer ShoeDazzle. In honor of her love of shoes and the letter K, Kim decided to pay tribute to Kate Middleton. Why not? They both are tabloid icons, got married to famous men last year, and their names start with the letter K — it was only right.
Turning Middleton’s 30th birthday into a chance to exploit more money out of fans, Kim “designed” a shoe named ‘The Duchess’ in honor of Middleton, “because every woman should feel like a princess every day”. Available on ShoeDazzle for £39.95, the black quilted faux-leather high heel  features “classic quilting and [a] graceful silhouette channel[ing] the Duchess’s classic style.”
You can exaggerate it all you want Kim, but that shoe is still a plain black pump and is still NOT worth that price…no matter whose name you attach to it. Nice try though.

They may not be ideal for New York winter weather but if you’re lucky enough to live in a warm weather climate, take People StyleWatch‘s OTBT recommendation. In the February issue, fashion model Selita Ebanks poses for the camera in an outfit that….doesn’t exactly fit everyone’s budget. Idolizing the fashion model is easy with ‘The Look” for less featuring OTBT leather platforms.
OTBT stands for “Off the Beaten Track” and are made specifically in mind with those who like traveling for the sake of traveling — no maps, no paths, no plans. OTBT shoes are  constructed with the highest quality materials, authentic colors, and a tough “anything proof” sole, making travel style easy and affordable. Whether you’re attending a brunch or off to Europe, OTBT platform sandals are model approved!

We may have had it up to HERE (raises hand above head) w/ the Twilight tweens, but we can’t get enough of OK!’s ‘Hot This Week’ lists. This week, along with DL1961 denim and Lauren Merkin clutches, OK! recommends a dose of  Yosi Samra flats to alleviate midweek blues.
An extension of the J. Loren company, Yosi Samra is the namesake of the designer of the brand. For the past thirty years, the Samra family has stayed busy creating a wide selection; with their son continuing the tradition. Boldly choosing to work on the family business over school, Samra has proven that he ultimately made the right decision. His brand focuses on all of the important aspects of business, including a focus on customer satisfaction. Yosi Samra’s footwear is unique while never sacrificing style, proving his line is a truly great collection of footwear loved by not only Jessica Alba and Ashley Greene but now YOU!

Many mothers and health experts ask, “how young is too young to wear high heels?”, while others like Katie Holmes Cruise find it appropriate. In a day and age where children grow up too quickly, the great debate over kid’s high heels heats up. Women wear high heels for the form enhancing features but what reason do little girls have?
Holmes defends her decision saying, “like every little girl, she loves my high heels. They are actually ballroom dancing shoes for kids. I found them for her and she loves them”. Not only does she love them but they make great press for a celebrity family — by age 5 Suri is already a style icon.
Moderation is key in this debate, which Holmes understands by allowing her daughter to wear them “on special occasions”… for god sakes she’s not wearing them to the park!
You decide: Cute or Creepy?

My Week With Marilyn has rehashed our Marilyn Monroe obsession and apparently Ferragamo shares in our love for the fashion icon. Salvatore Ferragamo announced that Monroe will be the subject of an exhibition in Florence’s Museo Salvatore Ferragamo.
According to Interview Magazine, “the highlight of the exhibit will be the collection of 14 pairs of shoes Monroe had bought decades before in Ferragamo’s Park Avenue shop in New York. Ferragamo designed the shoes for the icon himself, including a pair of four-inch stiletto-heeled pumps he created to enhance Monroe’s calves and swaying walk.” In other news, Monroe-related fashion and art pieces will also be on display (not that we care as much about this as we do about the shoes!).
Opening in July, those of you lucky enough to live in Italy will get to peruse the classic icon’s closet — a dream of ours which we will envy you for forever.

This is a classic case of ‘When Bad Shoes Happen to Good People’ and the celebrities are the culprits.
No matter how much money you have, bad fashion can still plague you. Even the fashion icon, Sarah Jessica Parker has a few misses here and there! It’s no surprise that Heidi Montag made this list, neither is it a shocker that Lady Gaga gets the fashion police called on her. Some celebrities go out of their way to be a fashion don’t, while others just have drunk stylists.
This is a call to action for shoe lovers everywhere to stop this bad shoe epidemic. We must end our fear of bad shoes and stand up to the unfashionable! Don’t let bad shoes happen to good people!

Okay, you caught me! I am a reality tv junkie, sickly obsessed with “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”. In fact, I spent most of my Christmas watching a marathon in which I fell for Adrienne Maloof’s recently launched shoe collection (see something positive does come out of it!).
Reality star, mother of three, business woman, and loving wife –many wonder how Adrienne Maloof found time to launch a footwear collection. “Renowned for her diplomatic sense of business, Adrienne received her first lessons in business from her father, entrepreneur George J. Maloof, Sr. The Maloof family philosophy — working hard, giving back, and taking care of employees.” This business sense is what drives Maloof to the utmost success in all her endeavors, including design.
The Adrienne Maloof shoe line for Charles Jourdan 2011 debuted in the beginning of December, first launching at Macys. Pulling directly from her personal (excessively huge) wardrobe, Maloof and the Jourdan team pieced together the bits and baubles of the perfect footwear collection. Partnering with charity organization Step Up, Maloof held a charity fashion show first debuting her collection on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”. Today, the collection is available at Macy’s, Lord & Taylor, Belk, specialty boutiques, Maloof’s website, and Isaay.  Â
“May you find inspiration in the big picture, but may you find love in the details.”

In a recent interview with Brian Atwood, a well-known American shoe designer with raw shoe sex appeal, Allure Magazine got Atwood to dish on boot care.
Choose Wisely: To get the best worn-in look, choose boots with a visible grain that are brown, black, or gray. Soft nubuck and flat, shiny, calf leather boots are so delicate they will end up showing more damage.
Take Precautions: Atwood stated that as soon as you purchase those fabulous new boots, take them home and waterproof them with a leather or suede spray immediately. Waterproofing helps form a barrier by adding a water-resistant film to the outside of the boot, that in turn shields the leather. (Shop Boot Care)
Dry Out: If your boots do ever get wet, keep the shape of the boot by stuffing the toes as soon as possible (Some suggestions include socks, towels, or newspaper). When the boots have dried completely, buff away salt with a damp towel.
Spare the Sole: Extend the life of your boots by having a shoe shop attach a rubber toe tip and heel tap to your boots. Costly? Think again!
Make Amends: Winter boots do require a bit of maintenance. Polish boots at least once a month and be sure to cover up scratches by using a dab of neutral leather buffing cream and a chamois. On suede boots, use a soft brush to buff away dirt and lift the nap. For lighter color boots, rub away scuffs with a damp cloth.
Store Your Boots Properly: When spring comes, replace the heel taps and give the boots a good polish. Stuff the toes with paper and put plastic boot trees in the boots to help keep the leg shape as well as prevent creasing.
