Palladium was founded in 1920 in the fledgling aviation industry to make tires.  Their expertise was so advanced that soon the majority of Europe’s aircraft were using Palladium tires. After World War I, the demand for tires died down, thus Palladium decided to open a plant in Pont De Cheruy, France to start producing footwear.
As the Nylon Nov. 2011 Diary states, “For winter ’11 Palladium introduces the Pilot Collection, featuring 100 percent Australian wool linings for soft comfort and winter warmth. With the signature fold-over collar, these boots are as functional as they are stylish.”
Leave it to Nylon to feature only the best of the best in their Diary.

Since it’s Friday we figured we’d inspire you for your weekend wardrobe with a street style footwear edition roundup. It’s easy to get lost among a crowd at Fashion Week but when you’re going about your day walking to and from the city only to be approached by a street style photographer, you’ve made it. Grabbing the eye of a photographer isn’t always easy but when you’re wearing eye popping shoes you’re sure to be snapped. There is a footwear epidemic sweeping the nation (ok, maybe just Hollywood) and its ringleader is Minnetonka. From Kate Moss to Lindsay Lohan, celebrities strut their street style for the cameras, sporting Minnetonka boots and booties. Soon, the legendary Pampa boot was born from their infamous tires.

Celebrities like Sienna Miller inspire us to dream big, work hard, and shop even harder.  The actress slash model was recently spotted rocking slouchy sandstone strappy boots on THREE separate occasions – she must really love those boots (and those jeans).
While we don’t advise wearing them every day (nobody likes a repeat offender), Miller shows us how easy these boots transition from one jean and slouchy sweater combo to the next. It’s 1 pm and after hours of endless blog reading, fashion blogger Blonde Bedhead caught our attention.
According to self-proclaimed “PR Pro” Andrea, “I love anything slouchy and comfortable”, making the Mia Naomi High Heel Tan Bootie a perfect fit. During a day dedicated to errunds, the blogger paired her Mia Naomi Booties with black skinny pants, a pancho, faux fur cowl, slouchy bag, and sunnies — the perfect match up for a lazy yet chic day. We admire Andrea of Blonde Bedhead for her continuously impressive style choices, especially when it comes to her footwear.
