.From the time they hit the fashion scene, wedge sneakers have been a total hit. Fashionistas (and children of the 90’s) everywhere love the combination of the casual comfort of a sneaker with the style of a wedge. Those of us in the 90’s remember sneakers with huge platforms, a style the Spice Girls and club kids made popular.
As one of the “sneakers” in Jeffrey Campbell’s JC Play Collection, the Homg Low Wedge Sneaker has been seen on several celebrities . In fact, both Miley Cyrus and Carly Rae Jepson were recently spotted in a pair of these flatforms, Miley in the studded version and Carly in the floral print. But don’t let the word sneaker fool you, these are not for athletic activities but then again shopping is a sport. You can rock them with denim shorts like Miley and Carly or really bring back the 90’s by pairing them with a cute summer dress.

During the warm summer months, many tend to live in beach-style shoes, spending the majority of their time at the beach; but there are a few who prefer to forgo trips to the beach and instead enjoy other fun summer activities such as trips to amusement parks, outdoor concerts and rooftop parties. For these fabulous events, a beautiful yet comfortable shoe is key and no cute beach shoe will suffice. You’ll need a shoe that will not only look great but will be comfortable enough for dancing, “working the room” and enjoying hours of fun. For a shoe that’s romantic and edgy, fashion forward yet classic, fun and flirty, there’s no better choice than a Seychelles heel.
Go for colorful elegance with the Snapdragon High Heel Sandal or the chic and stylish Good Ole Days High Wedge at rooftop parties and rock out and dance the night away in the Heat of the Moment Platform or the Sands of Time High Heel Platform at outdoor concerts.

According to the old fashion rules, one cannot wear white shoes before Memorial Day but rules are made to be broken and no one pays much attention to this old fashion faux pas anymore – which is a very good thing, but as this past weekend marked the seasonal tansition, let’s indulge in embracing this rule. Young or old, trendy or casual, heels or flats, there are lots of white shoes to mark the beginning of the summer season.
For the heel inclined, try the casual and on trend Au Naturel Alegria Espadrille Wrap Up Wedges, the sexy Bebe Kamilia High Heel Open-Toe Slingback or the funky (and slightly off white) Fly London Yaz Casual Wedge Shoe and Miz Mooz Watson Mid Heel Sandal. If heels are not your style, don’t worry, you can show your edgy style in flats. Try a shoe with jewel or buckle embellishments like the FitFlop Lunetta Casual Flip Flop or Dr. Scholl’s Original Wood Exercise Sandal; go for texture with a crocheted shoe like the Franco Sarto Whip Espadrille Flat; or go really fun with styles like the Toscanella 9140S2 Flat Sandal and Jeffrey Campbell Martini Spiked Flat Loafer.

Vans, Converse and UGGS have got the blues…Blue Jeans that is and Lana Del Rey even has a song named after the classic and classy casual wear. With everything from hats to backpacks being accented with denim, many shoe brands have hopped on board.

Transitioning from Winter to Spring can be somewhat intimidating. With festival season arrived, SxSW is taking over Austin and Coachella is just along the horizon, proper denims will have you Rockin’ n Rollin’ or just takin’ a walk along the wild side. You can play dress up with funky chunks from the likes of Steve Madden, Jeffrey Campbell, Rachel Zoe, Report Signature (need I say more?) or doll them down in festive flats from Seychelles, Yosi Samra or Gee WaWa.

Take the easy route and hide excess winter weight with high wasted acid wash denim shorts or revamp your closet with a good ol’ trip to the craft store. Taking the vintage approach and cutting up old jeans or studding the seams will enliven a hibernating ensemble but a statement shoe will stick like glue!
WHATEVER you choose, casual denim wear must be accompanied with the right shoes. As this month’s must-have fabric its about time to revisit your closet and double check that you have sufficient footing for every occasion. Festivals or fiestas, damsels in denim are embracing rough and rugged and ready to ride.

Two of pop culture’s most iconic male fashion aficionados are reversing their roles and going femme for fashion. Pharrell Williams and Kanye West have a symbiotic closet that oozes cool confidence and contemporary couture. Their attention to detail, from socks to bow-ties have translated to street wear and vintage styles worldwide.
The chicest of women have traditionally donned menswear with classic pant suits and dress shirts. Now with these men leading the way in both demographics, dudes are retiring their tailored duds and stretching lady’s wear to form fit their masculinity while women add a feminine touch to Oxfords, Sperry’s and boots.
Case in Needle-Point: Most recently spotted in an arguably feminine mint green Acne Spring cable knit sweater, Kanye West has been seen on numerous occasions sporting women’s clothes. Pharrell Williams, face of Palladium’s Tokyo Rising and overall trendsetter, is inspired by the female fashionista and will be launching his women’s clothing line, Billionaire Girls Club, later this year. Check out Pharell’s interview with W Magazine to hear his perspective on fashion & art as well as who influences his taste.
If you’re looking to cop some style like these gentlemen, view our selection of Palladium boots for both guys and gals, girls and boys, offered in an array of colors and sizes. To start prepping your schmoozes alongside these Tastemakers at yacht parties and runway sidelines see our collection of Sperry Top-Siders.

For those who may not know, Hank Moody is the main character of the show Californication and is the smoothest ladies man currently on television. So what’s Hanks story?
Occupation: Writer
Signature look: Black T Shirt and dark denim jeans paired with a sport jacket (Dressed Up) up or a leather jacket (Casual) and of course his signature sunglasses and Blundstone boots.
The Hank Moody look is easily achievable with the help of Blundstone, but whether or not it’ll improve your robot-like approach to women is whole other story.

They may not be ideal for New York winter weather but if you’re lucky enough to live in a warm weather climate, take People StyleWatch‘s OTBT recommendation. In the February issue, fashion model Selita Ebanks poses for the camera in an outfit that….doesn’t exactly fit everyone’s budget. Idolizing the fashion model is easy with ‘The Look” for less featuring OTBT leather platforms.
OTBT stands for “Off the Beaten Track” and are made specifically in mind with those who like traveling for the sake of traveling — no maps, no paths, no plans. OTBT shoes are constructed with the highest quality materials, authentic colors, and a tough “anything proof” sole, making travel style easy and affordable. Whether you’re attending a brunch or off to Europe, OTBT platform sandals are model approved!
